LINCOLN GOLD ADVANCES EXPLORATION ON NEVADA GOLD PROPERTIES
Carson City, Nevada – May 3, 2005 - LINCOLN GOLD CORP. (OTCBB: LGCP) Lincoln Gold is pleased to announce initial results from a continuing soil sampling program on the Lincoln Flat gold property in Lyon and Douglas Counties, approximately 8 miles west of the mining town of Yerington. Results from 188 soil samples collected on 100 feet x 200 feet and 200 feet x 200 feet grids over prospective areas reveal numerous soil gold anomalies. A new soil gold anomaly has been identified in the vicinity of the gold hematite breccia target. Follow-up soil sampling is in progress to further define the extent of the anomaly. At least eight (8) new soil gold anomalies have been identified in the fracture-controlled gold porphyry target area. Fieldwork is continuing to further define and focus drill targets. Permitting for drilling is in progress.
Drilling at the Company's Hannah gold property in Churchill County, approximately 55 miles west of Reno, is scheduled to commence within the next few days. Ten (10) reverse-circulation drill holes are planned for a total footage of 5,000 feet. The holes are designed to test a coherent, soil gold anomaly over an oxidized, ductile-brittle shear zone of quartz-sericite schist that extends for 3000 feet. Drill cuttings will be assayed for gold and silver in Reno, Nevada by a laboratory that is compliant with international ISO standards.
A large ground magnetometer survey has been partially completed on the Company's Jenny Hill gold property in Mineral and Nye Counties, approximately 16 miles west of the small desert town of Gabbs. Survey work remains in progress. When completed, 110 km of new data will be merged with the Company's existing 63 km of data for interpretation with emphasis on structures related to gold mineralization and possible extensions of known skarn mineralization. Also planned are 144 gravity stations to determine depth to bedrock in prospective areas. Soil sampling and continued geologic mapping are also planned.
