GOLD EXPLORATION ADVANCING ON NEVADA PROPERTIES
Carson City, Nevada – April 12, 2005 - LINCOLN GOLD CORP. (OTCBB: LGCP) Lincoln Gold is pleased to announce that it has executed a drilling contract and geophysical survey contract and is continuing soil sampling on its Nevada properties.
A track-mounted, reverse circulation drill rig has been contracted to drill test the large soil gold anomaly on the Hannah gold property in Churchill County, approximately 55 miles east of Reno. Ten holes will be drilled into an oxidized, ductile-brittle shear zone for a total footage of 5,000 feet. Pending BLM permitting approval, drilling should commence on or about May 15. Drill cuttings will be assayed for gold and silver in Reno by a laboratory that is compliant with international ISO standards.
A large ground geophysical survey program on the Jenny Hill property has been contracted with a prominent, international geophysical survey company in Reno. Work should commence in April on this gold property in Mineral County, approximately 16 miles west of the small desert town of Gabbs. Approximately 110 kilometers of continuous-reading GPS magnetometer survey is planned at a 100 meter line spacing utilizing continuous GPS readings as control. Subsequent data will be merged with the Company’s existing 63 kilometer survey (same contractor) for a total of 173 kilometers of magnetometer data. The purpose of the survey is to further define significant structures related to gold mineralization and to indicate possible extensions of known skarn mineralization. Also planned are 144 gravity stations on six survey lines at 1000-foot spacings. The gravity data should indicate depth to bedrock and possible structures in prospective gold areas that are covered locally by alluvium.
Soil sampling is continuing on the Company’s Lincoln Flat gold property in Lyon and Douglas Counties, approximately 8 miles west of the mining and agricultural town of Yerington. Soil sampling is progressing on 100 feet x 200 feet and 200 feet x 200 feet grids over prospective areas that contain anomalous gold in bedrock. To date, 89 new soil samples have been submitted for assay and at least 60 more samples are being collected. Subsequent assay data will be merged with assays from 44 previous soil samples for a database of nearly 200 samples. Soil sample assay results will help define drill targets for possible drilling in early summer.
