LARGE SOIL GOLD ANOMALY IDENTIFIED AT HANNAH GOLD PROPERTY, NEVADA – DRILLING PLANNED
Carson City, Nevada – March 24, 2005 - LINCOLN GOLD CORP. (OTCBB: LGCP) Lincoln Gold is pleased to announce the results of 132 new soil samples collected on a 100 x 200 foot grid from its Hannah Gold Property in Churchill County, Nevada.
The soil sampling program focused on an oxidized, brittle-ductile shear zone in quartz-sericite schist with known elevated gold values. The new soil data was combined with results from 50 previous soil samples and indicate a large, conspicuous soil gold anomaly approximately 3000 feet in length and locally over 500 feet in width. Distinct nodes of elevated gold in soil form two linear patterns that converge westward and appear to extend under alluvium and dry lakebeds. The anomalous nodes are connected by lesser gold values and collectively form a coherent gold target zone. Potential exists for significant gold mineralization in shallow bedrock that may be amenable to open pit mining and heap leach processing.
Lincoln Gold is in the process of permitting a 10-hole reverse-circulation drilling program to test the soil gold anomaly. A contract drilling company is preparing a bid which is expected shortly. Surface access on the property is good to excellent with some drill sites located on or near existing dirt roads. A track rig will be utilized to minimize surface disturbance. Lincoln Gold expects to commence drilling soon after permitting and bonding are approved by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
