This high-profile property is located in the northern portion of the Battle Mountain-Eureka Mineral Belt in Buffalo Valley, approximately 22 miles southwest of the small town of Battle Mountain, Nevada. Lincoln controls 100% of a large property position consisting of 7.5 alternating sections (square miles) with excellent potential for concealed Carlin-type gold deposits and gold skarn under pediment gravels. Large gold producers in the immediate area include Newmont at Lone Tree and Glamis/Barrick at Marigold. The most recent discovery is Metallic Ventures Converse gold-silver skarn deposit reported to contain 4.4 million ozs gold + 17.1 million ozs silver. Converse was discovered under gravels approximately 5 miles from Lincolns Buffalo Valley property. Additional new discoveries have been announced by Glamis/Barrick at Marigold. District-wide gold mineralization is controlled by north-trending structures and favorable stratigraphy +/- intrusive bodies. Geophysical surveys on and around the Buffalo Valley property indicate a swarm of north-trending structures that align with active gold mines to the north-northeast. Potential appears excellent for new discoveries in the range of 3 to 5 million ozs gold. Past work on the Buffalo Valley property by Homestake identified three targets along the axial fault of the valley; these targets were never drilled. In the summer of 2005, Lincoln formed a joint venture with Agnico-Eagle whereby Agnico-Eagle may earn up to a 75% interest in the Buffalo Valley property by spending US$3.0 million in work, producing a feasibility study, and arranging financing for Lincolns share required for mine development. Agnico-Eagle is presently exploring the property.
